Rob McMillin

Normally I couldn't give a rat's ass about basketball, yet I have to admit the psychodrama of the Shaqless Lakers has its appeal, especially given the public squalling of Kobe Bryant. Expelling the team's best player and a legendary coach, just to keep Mr. Selfishpants appeased? Oh, all that and failure, too. Perhaps Bryant will now manage a brief word of contrition in public. No?
